Jonathan Apple
The Jonathan Apple was discovered in 1800 in Woodstock, New York, by a man named Philip Rick. Red skinned, the Jonathan boasts highly aromatic spicy flesh, and is available from mid-September to March. An excellent eating and cooking apple, Jonathans are a good choice for pies and applesauce.
