Athena cantaloupes are from Florida and Georgia and otherwise known as a musk melon. They are exceptionally large in size with a wonderful aroma and taste. The name cantaloupe is thought to derive from “cantaloup”, a village in southern France, and they are originally from the European continant. Athena are a very short crop so make sure you don’t miss out.
