Ripened Tomatoes
Slicing Tomatoes,
also known as Globe Tomatoes, are the most commonly available
tomato. They are good cooked, but are best when sliced or quartered
for salads. These tomatoes are ripened off the vine in a special
warming room. Ripe tomatoes are fragrant and give slightly to
gentle palm pressure.
