The Gala
Apple originated in New Zealand. One strand of the Gala Apple
is named the Royal Gala, after Queen Elizabeth the II declared
her preference for it. The round Gala has a creamy yellow skin
stripped with pink, and a honey perfume flavor. Look for a smooth-skinned
apple, free of bruises and gouges.
